Proheat Automotive Fluid Reservoir Heater - 6.5-12 gal, Model 2648

Proheat Automotive Fluid Reservoir Heater - 6.5-12 gal, Model 2648

Proheat Model 2648 | Heavy-Duty Fluid Reservoir & Oil Pan Heater (1000W)

The Proheat Model 2648 is an industrial-grade heating solution engineered for large-scale engines and high-volume fluid reservoirs. Delivering an impressive 1000 Watts of power, this heater ensures that vital fluids remain at optimal operating temperatures to prevent extreme cold-start wear and system downtime in the most demanding winter environments.

Key Features

  • Maximum Heat Output: Provides 1000 Watts and 8.3 Amps of consistent, heavy-duty heating power.

  • Large Surface Coverage: The 10.75" x 6" pad is designed to provide broad heat distribution for large pans and tanks.

  • Ultra-Thin Profile: Maintains a slim .08" thickness, allowing for powerful heating even in tight spatial configurations.

  • Integrated Power: Equipped with a 6-foot power cord compatible with standard 120 Volt outlets.

Application Guide

This high-capacity model is specifically rated for industrial and large automotive fluid volumes:

Fluid Type Tank/Reservoir Capacity
Engine Oil 6.5–12 Gallons (25–45 Litres)
Diesel Fuel 50–100 Gallons
Hydraulic Fluid 50–100 Gallons
Water 100–200 Gallons

Technical Specifications

  • Model: 2648

  • Power: 1000 Watts / 8.3 Amps

  • Voltage: 120 Volts

  • Dimensions: 10.75" x 6" x .08"

Complete Installation Kit

Each kit includes all components required for a permanent, professional-grade installation:

  • 1000W Heating Pad with integrated 6' power cord.

  • High-Heat Silicone Adhesive for secure bonding to metal surfaces.

  • Surface Preparation Sandpaper.

  • Adhesive Application Spreader.

  • Cable Ties for clean and secure wire routing.

Installation Tips

IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING: Do NOT apply silicone, debris, dirt, or any material between the heater pad and the mounting surface. Any gap between the heater and the oil pan or reservoir can cause improper heat transfer, overheating, and may result in fire, damage to the vehicle, or personal injury. The heater pad must be applied directly to clean, bare metal.

Surface Preparation: Thoroughly clean and sand the reservoir or oil pan to clean, bare metal. Remove all oil, paint, rust, and debris.

Application: Peel off the backing and apply the heater pad directly to the reservoir or oil pan. Apply firm, even pressure.

Sealing: Use high-temperature silicone (such as Permatex 77BR or equivalent) to seal only the outer edges of the pad. Do not allow silicone to migrate underneath the heater.

Wiring: Route the power cord to a safe, secure location away from moving parts, sharp edges, or extreme heat sources.

Cold Weather Tip: Warm the mounting surface before installation (run the engine or use a heat gun). Keep the heater pad warm during application for maximum adhesion. A helpful tip is to plug the heater in for approximately 5 seconds prior to application.
