Proheat Engine Heater - 3-6 gal, Model 1024
Proheat Model 1024 | Dual-Pad Heavy-Duty Fluid Reservoir Heater (500W Total)
The Proheat Model 1024 is a high-capacity, dual-pad heating system designed for environments where space is too limited for a single large heating unit. This 500-watt system provides maximum flexibility, allowing for installation on multiple sides of an oil pan or reservoir to ensure even and efficient heat distribution.
Key Features
-
Dual-Pad Flexibility: Specifically engineered for tight installations requiring the power of a Model 1325 but lacking the surface area for one large heater.
-
High Power Output: Features two 250-watt pads for a total output of 500 Watts and 4.16 Amps.
-
Ultra-Thin Profile: Each pad maintains a slim .08" thickness, allowing for placement in extremely narrow gaps.
-
Integrated Setup: The two pads are tethered together with a 15-inch cord and powered by a single 6-foot main cord with a standard plug.
Application Guide
This 500W system is designed for large-scale industrial and automotive fluid capacities:
| Fluid Type | Tank/Reservoir Capacity |
| Engine Oil | 3–6 Gallons |
| Diesel Fuel | 40–60 Gallons |
| Hydraulic Fluid | 20–50 Gallons |
| Water | 50–100 Gallons |
Technical Specifications
-

-
Total Power: 500 Watts / 4.16 Amps
-
Voltage: 120 Volts
-
Individual Pad Dimensions: 3.5" x 5.25" x .08"
-
Tether Length: 15-inch cord between pads
Complete Installation Kit
Each kit includes all components required for a permanent, professional-grade mount:
-
Dual 250W Heating Pads with integrated wiring.
-
High-Heat Bonding Adhesive.
-
Surface Preparation Sandpaper.
-
Adhesive Application Spreader.
-
Heavy-Duty Cable Ties for secure cord routing.
Installation Tips
IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING: Do NOT apply silicone, debris, dirt, or any material between the heater pad and the mounting surface. Any gap between the heater and the oil pan or reservoir can cause improper heat transfer, overheating, and may result in fire, damage to the vehicle, or personal injury. The heater pad must be applied directly to clean, bare metal.
Surface Preparation: Thoroughly clean and sand the reservoir or oil pan to clean, bare metal. Remove all oil, paint, rust, and debris.
Application: Peel off the backing and apply the heater pad directly to the reservoir or oil pan. Apply firm, even pressure.
Sealing: Use high-temperature silicone (such as Permatex 77BR or equivalent) to seal only the outer edges of the pad. Do not allow silicone to migrate underneath the heater.
Wiring: Route the power cord to a safe, secure location away from moving parts, sharp edges, or extreme heat sources.
Cold Weather Tip: Warm the mounting surface before installation (run the engine or use a heat gun). Keep the heater pad warm during application for maximum adhesion. A helpful tip is to plug the heater in for approximately 5 seconds prior to application.
