Proheat Engine Heater - 1-3 gal (4.5-12 qts), Model 156-2 CSA
Proheat Model 156-2 CSA | Dual-Pad Heavy-Duty Fluid Reservoir Heater (250W Total)
The Proheat Model 156-2 CSA is an innovative dual-pad heating system designed for high-performance warming in spatially constrained environments. This system provides a total output of 250 Watts, making it a flexible alternative to a single large heater when mounting space is limited or inaccessible.
Key Features
-
Flexible Dual-Pad System: Features two separate heating pads tethered together, allowing for installation on different sides of an oil pan or reservoir.
-
High Efficiency: Each pad delivers 125 Watts, providing a combined total of 250 Watts and 2.08 Amps of heating power.
-
Slim Profile: With an ultra-thin .08" thickness and dimensions of 1.5" x 6" per pad, these are ideal for narrow or tight locations.
-
Integrated Design: Both pads are connected by a 14" tethering cord and powered by a single 6-foot main power cord for a standard 120 Volt outlet.
Application Range
This versatile 250W system is optimized for mid-to-large fluid capacities:
| Fluid Type | Tank/Reservoir Capacity |
| Engine Oil | 1–3 Gallons (4.5–12 Quarts) |
| Hydraulic Fluid | 10–30 Gallons |
| Water | 25–45 Gallons |
Technical Specifications
-

-
Voltage: 120 Volts
-
Pad Dimensions: 1.5" x 6" x .08" (x2 pads)
-
Tether Length: 14-inch cord between pads
What’s Included
The kit comes ready for a professional, permanent installation:
-
Dual 125W Heating Pads with a single 6' main cord.
-
High-Temperature Silicone Adhesive for secure bonding.
-
Surface Preparation Sandpaper.
-
Adhesive Application Spreader.
-
Cable Ties for organized wire management.
Installation Tips
IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING: Do NOT apply silicone, debris, dirt, or any material between the heater pad and the mounting surface. Any gap between the heater and the oil pan or reservoir can cause improper heat transfer, overheating, and may result in fire, damage to the vehicle, or personal injury. The heater pad must be applied directly to clean, bare metal.
Surface Preparation: Thoroughly clean and sand the reservoir or oil pan to clean, bare metal. Remove all oil, paint, rust, and debris.
Application: Peel off the backing and apply the heater pad directly to the reservoir or oil pan. Apply firm, even pressure.
Sealing: Use high-temperature silicone (such as Permatex 77BR or equivalent) to seal only the outer edges of the pad. Do not allow silicone to migrate underneath the heater.
Wiring: Route the power cord to a safe, secure location away from moving parts, sharp edges, or extreme heat sources.
Cold Weather Tip: Warm the mounting surface before installation (run the engine or use a heat gun). Keep the heater pad warm during application for maximum adhesion. A helpful tip is to plug the heater in for approximately 5 seconds prior to application.
